Only shitty schools need to worry about accreditation. You never hear Yale or Havard brag about it. Accreditation is the MINIMUM standard a school must meet. Its like a D grade, nothing to be proud of.

AIU must suck! 50 grand? I don’t even have to pay half that at Phoenix. I actually know people who did Phoenix online who are actually working in their field and higher military rank for their profession. And I also know people who got degrees in classroom colleges and they are managers in McDonalds. Hope your job searching goes well though

Career Education Corporation which owns IADT, AIU, CTU, Le Cordon Bleu, Sanford-Brown and others is being investigated by the Federal Government and could close more schools.
There are numerous student investigations and lawsuits along with shareholder investigations and lawsuits. It appears CEC has been running for-profit degree mills.

Nothing is wrong with an online degree once it’s from an accredited school, you should check out Thomas Edison State College or Charter Oak State College, those are legit plus a lot of Universities now have online degree programs.

Complete scam — I’ve been saying it for years…so glad I went to an actual private college in the State of NY, with a 100% accredited degree that is good anywhere in the US and in some cases, abroad — this is what all those online commercials aren’t telling people. You guys are right, their degrees aren’t holding any weight in ANY industry. Really sad.
